Case Study

Aston Martin Global retail design programme

Working closely with London based design firm Imagination to ensure that each new location fulfilled the design brief.

Extensive research into materials, furnishings and architectural features has resulted in dealerships that resemble elegant modernist structures, varying in scale and layout but sharing a core design identity.

This included the careful selection of a natural stone to act as a canvass to some of the Worlds most desirable automobiles.

An ivory Travertine was chosen due to its timeless beauty and appearance.

Large format panels were required for both walls and floors with the same materials required for furniture cladding and external corporate signage.

A unique 8mm structurally reinforced material from Lightweight Stone was selected.

Weighing considerably less than its natural stone equivalent at only 16 kilos per square metre allowed panels to be easily fixed with adhesive.

There was no requirement for stone fixers and without the need for complicated and expensive attachment systems. This successful project was then implemented over 125 dealerships in 27 countries.
